Day 5 of 5 Days of Sailing- Huatulco

08 April 2008 | Playa Herba Buena, Huatulco, Oaxaca, Mexico
15 44.963'N:96 07.785'W

Dropped anchor around 3 p.m., it finally set on our 3rd attempt as far away from the Mexican Navy's 'Restricted Area' sign as we could get. Yes the huge new pier for the cruise ships takes up most of the bay/anchorage so much for this being the most protected bay during a T-pec blow - well for one or two boats maybe. We patiently waited for the Navy to tell us to move but no one came out. Besides we feel Raven is especially safe here so close to the Navy and all their spot lights at night. And it's really easy to tell where we are or which way we are pointed with all those lights shinning in the boat - nice, again all my porthole shades come in handy - for sleeping!
