Good News, Bad News

Scott: "See we got to see this beautiful rainbow."
Cheryl: " I can see beautiful rainbows from a house in Taos everyday AND get a full nights sleep."

Getting internet on the boat out on the hotel's mooring - so that's nice. Got all kinds of wires run around the boat for power though.

Murray took the alternator off and out to be fixed - it was not working at all.

Heard back from 'The' HF radio guy, Don, with his opinion about the SSB. Long story short is he says that even if we do replace just the tuner the rest of the radio may stop working at any moment- that's how lightening strikes go. Brand new $3,250 radio - worthless. Got the darn thing to get weather and maybe send a few emails.

We might even take out the inverter since Murray has someone who can work on them.

Want to buy a boat?

Murray showed up around 4 p.m. with our fixed alternator and a temporary regulator! He'll install it tomorrow! Scott talks about taking the inverter out!
We get a nice reception in shore from our friends here and I get some time in the pool. Tomorrow I give up getting groceries for ordering replacements parts!
