We arrived here in San Diego Sunday afternoon to the earth splitting sound of Navy planes taking off and landing. Some how, just not as impressive as entering San Fran was! But being a Sunday, the harbor entrance was filled with Sunday sailors tacking out, then back in. A strong presents of both Navy and sailing here.
Cousin Elaine came by for a quick visit Monday afternoon and gave us passes to the zoo, wild life park, and Sea World. She is picking us up for dinner and hair cuts tonight!
Our friend from Juneau, Damon Cruz made a short visit this afternoon, on his way back down to La Paz with their new (to them) van. It was great to catch up and get some tips for our next sailing legs. He looks great, the cruising life clearly agrees with him!
The rigger also came by this afternoon for a cursory review of the mast and rigging. They now have us scheduled for pulling the mast next week Tuesday.
I talked to my cousin Keri and we now have tentative plans to get together on Saturday.
John's folks and brother will arrive for a week long visit on Monday.
so, you can see, with all the socializing and boat work, this month will fly buy.
As we get Internet (should by next week??) I'll add more photos to our photo albums. Keep in touch, we love to here from you!
