somewhat sunny.
" I want you to climb up there and put that right here," the Captain says, as he molds his fingers into little explanatory models....."You want me to go up where with what?" I find myself saying that alot.
It turns out our masthead assembly needed a little TLC. The job seemed fairly simple. Go up the mast (48 ft) strip the caulking holding the assembly in place, (Did I mention the caulking is apparently made of cement?) and find a feed line.
Yes, needless to say we spent the greater part of 3 days working through feedlines, saughtering, and picking straws for mastclimbing. It turns out Elias doesn't prefer heights. Don't tell him I told you that. But, we did it! For those of you who are unaware of these nautical terms; we got the wind indicator working! We now know in what direction the wind is coming from and at what speed. Somewhat important for a couple sailors such as ourselves. Hee hee.
The truth is we are at eachothers throats sometimes ;and offering eachother back massages at others....we are having alot of fun and learning a lot of things.....we are watching our family slowly coming together..working, sharing, loving,caring....Yes, slowly we are becoming strong and dependable....we are becoming a CREW. _/)_
