A real scorcher of a day!
12 May 2012 | Kumealon Inlet, BC
JoLe & KC Wilson
We are currently anchored in Kumealon Inlet on the East side of Grenville Channel. Today has been absolutely beautiful, sunshine all day and even a bit of wind from the South, enough to put up the jib and motor sail along. The temperature hit a high of 62 degrees, which, compared to a few other days we've had, makes us want to sun bathe!
We ran into Meredith, Robin and Graham, the kayakers we met in Butedale as we entered Grenville Channel, we had obviously all timed the tides well as we were cooking along and so were they. At one point, with the jib up, we hit 10.5 knots.
Saw a pod of killer whales feeding today and lots of places that look like an avalanche is going to occur at any moment (it's all the hot weather we're having)!
Good news, the heater is fixed and running but still no depth finder.
