The time here in Juneau has passed too quickly! Among other things, we've spent enjoyable time with friends and family, gone halibut fishing (not very successful unfortunately), over nighted with friends at a cabin in Handtrollers Cove, they in the cabin, us on the boat, attended the Rendevouz Bar "Play with the Band" night where we watched some of our friends play and sing with the band, visited Glacier Bay where we saw more whales, sea lions and otters and were chased in our boat by a sea lion, attended the opening of the Native Celebration at Auke Bay Recreation Area, pulled crab and shrimp pots with friends, and a big surprise we actually and truly SAILED in SE Alaska. All and all, we had a great time!

We leave Juneau tomorrow through Chatham Strait heading into the Gulf of Alaska. As of this morning the wind forecast is in our favor once we hit the Gulf, unfortunately the forecast for the trip through Chatham isn't in our favor, the winds are predicted to be coming from the South. We'll see what we get.

Once we start using Sail Mail again, most likely tomorrow, we'll be better about updating our Sailblog and the map.
