The last few days have been busy, but fun. I've been doing my best to spread the Taco Love by bringing friends to a great Taco Cart here in La Paz. I don't have a photo of the Taco Cart yet because I'm afraid I'd get pastor taco juice all over the camera if I tired to take it out of the camera bag for a photo!

We hosted a surprise Birthday Party for Nancy on Eyoni with about 18 people aboard. The party has been in the works for months, and Nancy didn't have a clue it was coming. It's a good thing we have plenty of room below decks, because the night of the party we saw our first RAIN in a long, long time. I can't say just how old Nancy is because her friends might read this blog post and buy her a cain...but we love her anyway.

We HAD a bag of fish jerky but one morning work up to find the empty bag torn to bits in the middle of the salon floor with not a piece of fish jerky in sight. I was sure someone had left the bag out on the counter, until we caught the culprit in the act! Cortez was able to stand up, slide open the pantry and steal the rest of our fish jerky.

Cruising life revolves around food and now that it's not a gillion degrees here in Mexico we have started baking again. Amy has been using the bagel recipe we got form Laura on Just a Minute and making some fabulous bagels. They may not be round, but they taste just a good smothers with cream cheese.

After 3 yrs of Lori playing the main teacher roll, this year the kids are enrolled in an on-line home school class. It's not a panacea for boat school blues, but it does take some of the heat off Lori to come up with daily lesson plans. Amy and Jason spend some time each afternoon in a local internet cafe to take advantage of their high speed internet access.

I didn't want to ask why Amy was working on her Home school lessons from the bathroom of the internet cafe...maybe because she could hear Jason breathing or he was looking at her? Just because you live on a boat in Mexico doesn't mean some of the normal things in life don't continue.

Today is a cruiser's swap meet here in La Paz and my hope is to get more things OFF the boat than Lori and the kids try to drag ON!
