There is a classic Mark Mulligan song that reads:
"We come into this word bald and barefoot and some of us haven't come that far"
The song reminds me of just how fast time passes in life and that the only thing you can really count on is change. Our entire life story, when you boil it all down, is really just an account of how we deal with and handle change. Some folks do everything they can to resist it, fighting it tooth and nail as if the unseen tomorrow can't be as good as today, or yesterday. Others fret and worry away today thinking about tomorrow, while others thrive and feed on the unknown tomorrow, changing their course towards the unknown like a plant growing towards the sunlight. A few days ago on April 4th our good friends on
SV Just A Minute took their first huge steps towards change when they announced on their Blog that their
Lagoon 380 Catamaran is now for SALE!
With West Coast Catamarans being more rare and with the excellent condition and price they are asking, I'm sure it won't be for sale long, in fact, I'll be surprised if they even get a chance to officially hang a for sale sign the bows once they get to La Paz.
Watching friends exit the Cruising lifestyle is hard, especially with our own pending departure, but I'm already on my way to living up to the Mark Mulligan Song of going out with no hair, so what else do I have to lose?
