The Boren family are full time live aboard cruisers currently heading for the Sea of Cortez for summer 2009.
"What Have We Done?"
Capt Rich
11/03/2009, a new crew member joins SV THIRD DAY

As Captain Kirk stood on the newly created Genesis planet after abandoning the Star Ship Enterprise after activating the self destruct sequence, the famous question he asked was,

"My God Bones, what have I done?"

I asked a similar question today as I stood staring at the kitty litter box now taking up ¾ of our head floor. Bones answered by responding,

"You did what you had to do Jim, what you always do, turn certain death into a fighting chance for life".

I keep waiting for Lori to give me such a great reassuring answer to my question, but so far, the only answer I've been given was,

"Well Captain Cave-in, this kitty mess was your crazy idea, so it's your headache to worry about."

If only I had as loyal a crew as Captain Kirk.

We now have a new member to the THIRD DAY crew, and one of my MANY hopes is that he doesn't get seasick. Unfortunately unlike the Starship Enterprise, we can't go fast enough around the sun to travel back in time and save the world by remaking the past. We are hopelessly stuck in a future of our own making, first it was casting off cruising on our 36ft boat, now it's having a cat aboard. The question of, "what have I done" still remains partially unanswered, but one's things for sure, if the kitty pees in Lori's bunk, I just may have turned my life into certain death!

I could type on and on about how the above episode played out, but I've learned something in our last year of cruising, and almost daily blog posting. It's often best to not clutter a simple event by typing on and on about it. So I've already said too much when the above photos say it all, time to shut up.

A Cruisers Christmas DVD
Capt Rich
11/01/2009, it's about time we have a release!

Rumors of our first DVD production have been swirling around since we cast off cruising over a year ago and we are happy to finally make those rumors a reality with the release of our first project: A Cruisers Christmas. I don't want to over sell our first release as an action and adventure flick equal to Raiders of the Lost Ark; however, if you are into relaxing Christmas music instrumentals set to our best sunrises, sunsets and anchorage images from our last year of cruising Mexico, then you will enjoy A Cruisers Christmas. The video clips and photos were all taken and edited aboard THIRD DAY during our last year of cruising and if you are spending Holidays in a cold climate, this 50 minute production could be just the thing this Christmas season.

We are currently preparing to leave the San Francisquito anchorage and heading to Santa Rosilia, where I will post a short DVD trailer to show what A Cruisers Christmas is all about. I'll also then have good enough internet access to make arrangement for the DVD's sale on our blog and website.

The below images are the DVD case front and back covers.
