SV THIRD DAY
Fresh from a 4 year Cruise in Mexico, the Boren Family is now adjusting to their new life back in the Chaos of the USA.
Day 3
Capt Rich
07/19/2012, Muertos to Cabo San Lucas

We dropped anchor in Bahia de los Muertos at 7PM and promptly invited our friends on Hotspur over for a potluck. It was great to see them one last time as they make their way to La Paz for the summer and Amy and Carolyne had a sleep-over up on deck. Lori has spent most of the day hanging out with Meri chatting, playing scrabble and talking plans....as if any of us actually have any.

The plan is to leave Muertos at 4PM today and head for Cabo San Lucas where Hurrah and Sea Raven will take on some diesel and then we will make one last look at the weather before rounding the tip of the Baja Peninsula and going north. As 4PM approaches I've completed a few final projects while basking in the heat and warmth because I know it won't be long until we are in cold weather gear and I'll actually have to wear something on my feet!

Day Two
Capt Rich
07/18/2012, Bananza to Muertos

7AM and anchors up at the Bananza beach anchorage and off we go heading through the Cervalo channel to Bahia los Muertos. It's just about a 50 mile trip but it will take us through some prime fishing grounds, so we hope to pull lunch and dinner aboard! We are traveling with our friends on SV Sea Raven and Hurrah making up our little 3 boat flotilla.

We are hoping to meet up with our good friends on SV Hotspur at Muertos later today for a final good bye. They are heading to La Paz for the summer and it would be nice to see them one more time.

Motoring on calm seas...no drama at the moment...so everyone is happy

Mile 0, 1500 Left to go
Capt Rich
07/17/2012, La Pax, Mexico to Port San Luis, CA

At 12:00hrs the anchor was secured and we began the 1500 mile trip back to Port San Luis, Ca. I haven't made a blog post over the SSB Radio in ages, but I'll try to make them via the radio as we work our way up the coast.

It wasn't like we expected. We simply pulled anchor like we have done hundreds of times before. As I type this post, we are currently motoring out of the La Paz Bay but there's no feeling of sadness or wanting to stay longer, we are ready. We could be completely crazy about what we think we are ready for, but being crazy has never stood in our way before, so off we go.
