Well, we made it in one piece -- home sweet home.
Stayed with Donny Bradford in Palo Verde again last night -- great guy and we def appreciate the hospitality. Had a few coldies across the street at the Lagoon then down for the count. We had eaten at Amapola Cafe in "lovely" dowtown Blythe on the way to Donny's and recommend it highly.
Good run in where we had some drizzle awaiting -- welcome for sure.
Got in around 6000 miles since leaving -- the truck ran like a clock, we had a lot of good food, saw a lot of great things and heard / played a lot of great music. My new dobro is to be delivered NLT Monday. What could be better than that! :)
This adventure is officially closed but more await on the horizon as always.

Arrived late this afternoon, checked in and had dinner while watching the roundball tournament.
Will visit my friends here tomorrow - John and Penny Dunklee. John is a prolific author and Penny does pottery. Great folks.
We will head west and get to within striking distance of home. Plan on being back in San Diego on Saturday afternoon with luck:)
We have gear spread out thru the truck and suspect it will take weeks to find it all - may take a skiploader to do the job.
We are both ready for some home time. Mine may be fairly short before heading out again -- hmmmm seems to be a pattern:)

Back "home" to Fredburg yesterday -- stayed in our same Super 8 with Freida in charge. Got in late afternoon.
Had Mexican food next door at Mamacita's -- very good.
I got to play dobro with my friend John Andrew Parks at a club in Fredburg that night. Told him that I was writing lyrics to the "Wrong Door Motel" and he wants to put the music to it as co-writers -- should be a blast:)
We need to get John Andrew a gig in SoCal - singer / songwriter venue. Any ideas? He is one hell of a musician and singer.
Back out to Luckenbach this morning then on to Las Cruces.
