ON BEING BACK ABOARD
September 15, 2012
The long drive is over and we are back aboard. The weather here has the feel of fall and the conditions are near perfect. We found the boat in good shape less the failing freezer that was partially frozen. We do not keep foods from the refrigerator or the freezer that has been in such a state since we do not know if it stayed frozen or not. It is clear that we must not leave foods in the coolers when we leave for several weeks. The now infamous forward head had some revenge working also. So, to get back to square one, I have boat repair projects that were not there when we left. Methinks it is due to the age of the various components. They are 14 years in service and that may well be the life expectancy for them in full time use over the last three years.
