we've split up

Bill/Sunny and still hot
Yolo continued south as we headed a bit west and then a bit north for a different island. It's the first time we have been alone in the islands. It's been great traveling with YOLO for the last the days or so. They have a friend that is coming in to visit and they need to get farther south to one of the airports to collect her. We'd read good things about the island we are heading for from the posts of Emerald Sea on sailblogs. They got here almost a month before we did and have been trail blazers for the rest of us. Add on the posts from Rutea and it tells us a lot about where they found that was good.
YOLO took advantage of an offer by the defunct resort we stopped at last night for free water and filled their tanks. They were also offered fish, lobster and other supplies if they needed them. I expect that once we are done at the island we will be visiting tonight, we will be returning for a bit of a longer stay. The people were great and the beaches were littered with shells. I'll let you know how that goes. Meanwhile, off for another island. We should be there about lunch time.
Once we pass outside the atoll, we grab all the pop cans and bottles. It's time for them to go over board. We don't do that unless the depth sounder is off the scale. That means it's at least 400 feet deep. The cans get sliced full of holes and the bottles are full of water so they will sink quickly. It's getting time for another trash burn. The plastic is beginning to mount up and we never put it in the water.
Two days ago, as we crossed on the five hour journey, Tracy did a bunch of laundry. We had drying lines all over the stern with clothes hung everywhere getting solar dried. Worked great and now we have some clean clothes to wear. We used a bunch of water to do it but I had the watermaker running the entire crossing and it kept up with the demand. It's running now. While it only makes about eight gallons per hour, we never have to worry about running out. Plus, when we return ethers we were last night, we can fill out tanks again.
It's now 1145 and we just dropped our anchor at 06 03.261N:073 02.423E just off an island beside Kanditeem. There appears to be a big village on the island and we may have to go and investigate it tomorrow. We need to get our internet service topped up. We started at 14 gigs but sine it had been quite a while since we had had Internet, well we chewed through almost eleven of those gigs in just eleven days. With only three gigs left, and many miles before we see another village that might have cards for topping up our dongle, we will probably be heading in in the next day or so. Meanwhile, we are anchored off a nice island with beautiful sandy beaches. Winds were good enough to roll out the Genoa and do a motor sail.
the rest of the day was quiet with us taking a break from rushing ashore and we just sat on board and relaxed. A nice game of Scrabble and an evening of TV shows. Now today, well, we will be launching Puff and heading for the beach.
