More rain of course

Bill/still pouring
As expected, now that the teak decks have been removed, it's raining. No, not just some sprinkles but an out and out rain storm. I was up at 0600 and headed up the hill for the rest rooms. It was just starting to sprinkle at the time. Within just a few minutes, it started to really pour. I took refuge in the laundry room(had chairs to sit on) and waited and waited. About 0645, it slowed down enough that I could walk over to the internet room(where I an now). By 0700, it was pouring again. It's now about 0730 and it's still coming down. Sure glad we redid the tarps yesterday. While it may not keep everything off the back deck, it will do a better job that what we had the day before.
Tracy was still in bed when I left so not sure how she is feeling this morning. Rest maybe the best medicine. With her hitting 102 last night, she needs all the rest she can get and any drugs I can find to keep the fever down. I slept in the main salon last night. Blue was there to keep me company. Snowshoe sleeps along the back ledge in the stern stateroom. Each has their own place. Knowing her, she is probably up on the deck moping up any water that might fall on the stern. It's one of the reasons we redid them yesterday.
You could tell the yard was closed yesterday as it was strangely quiet. All the contractors were gone but you could occasionally hear some of the cruisers working on their boats. We need to find someone to prep the bottom so we can put on a couple coats of bottom paint. From what we have seen so far, they want to do the entire job as they make a lot of money on what they charge for the paint, not what they get it for. There are lots of workers here so I know I can find someone that will do the job.
If the rain lets up, I may have to hike over to Crew's Inn for the Mexican Train game. Tracy walked away with a traveling trophy last week and it will need to be passed on to the next winner. I know she won't be going, that's for sure.
Not sure how soon I will get back to the boat. It's still pouring. We have this effect where ever we go. If it's the "dry season", we make it rain. If it's the "rainy season" droughts ensue. They had the third largest snow fall in Seattle history when we were there and winds of hurricane force slammed into Newport, Oregon when we were berthed there. Need your weather changed, hey, let us know. As long as it's near a shore line and we can get there, no problem.
