Well the day did come and Chasing Sunsets was born today she got her new name and a fresh coat of paint and a lot of new electronics. I have spent the last two days trying to get her ready for Friday she gets to feel the water one more time she will have to stay close to the dock for one night and if all is well we will be headed out on Saturday sometime for the long passage to Galveston Bay it is 958 miles away and will take a total of 156 hours sailing if the winds are helping I think I can sail about 14 to 15 hours a day so that should put me close in 11 days. I won't have e mail on the boat on this trip but will have it on the way back around the 1st of March.
I am so excited to get started and nerves also I keep asking myself do I have everything and did I check everything what will break what wont??????? Oh so many things I just think I need to go and see what happens.
