Hi all, the strong wind sustained for the whole night but eased to 25 kn early morning and further to 20 kn later on. After our daily radio net at 1200 we took the reefs out of the main sail and are sailing with full canvas since. There is still a 3 m swell running so at times we heel over and everything must be secured not to crash-land on the opposite side. First it was sunny and the wind was dry and cold but now it is still cold but we are having light showers on and off. I had my lunch-time excitement when the fishing rod rapidly reeled out - I had problems winching a big one in but halfway to the boat the fish came off the hook. Moments later the other line indicated a fish and same story again, halfway in the fish was gone but the lure still there. Half an hour later another bite on the longer line and this time I got a big tuna in, same kind as a few days ago with long fins on the side and white flesh. So for the next 3 days it will be fish on the menu and no need to take vitamin pills. Last night my sister sent an email with yesterdays soccer result D-NL 2:1 which earned me 2 Euros but even the loosers on board were smiling - we are betting 1 Euro on every match. AHOI!
