Ready to wait...

Symphony is almost ready for sea: Scourge is back onboard, the long list of errands is quickly dwindling, and we put the sails back up today. Getting the sails up took longer than normal because we took the time to correct a malfunction in our headsail furler and to re-trim our reefing points and generally try to ensure that our sails would be ready to perform at peak efficiency without jamming up whenever the conditions are right to raise them. Fortunately, today was sunny and almost a flat calm so having the sails up for a couple of hours wasn't a big deal.
We could, in fact, get underway tomorrow, if we chose to. However, with Tropical Storm Alberto due to arrive here tomorrow evening, that would be a bad choice! Even after Alberto is gone, the larger waves he churns up will linger for a day so we are currently thinking that we will get underway on Friday. Which gives us some more time for provisioning and a little more visiting and sightseeing.
It's amazing how fast we all have adapted back to living on board. Even Scourge only took a day to be completely back to normal. Evelyn's been back to her Algebra, Leslie entertains the entire marina with her singing, and we are all luxuriating in NOT eating out for a while!
