The Grander Scheme: s/v Northern Symphony
Another simple dream...Another crazy notion: To make a sequel to our Grand Scheme by making an extended great loop starting from our home in Nova Scotia. One boat, two so-called adults, one or two children, and one cat.

Today we moved from Summit North Marina in the C&D Canal to Georgetown Yacht Basin, way up the Sassafras River. We had fairly strong winds, but instead of being from the SW (i.e., right on our nose), they were from the W and even NW, which made for a much more pleasant trip. We timed our departure pretty well to catch a favorable current.
Once here, we picked up a mooring and launched our dinghy. We borrowed bicycles and helmets from the marina and rode 1 1/2 miles into Galena for some much needed groceries. Then we discovered that the marina's launch service is still operating, so we hoisted the dinghy back on its davits and used the launch service to go have a lovely dinner at a waterfront restaurant.
