A pause...

We have decided to pause our northward journey for a week or two. Evelyn and I will be flying back to Minnesota tomorrow and Anne and Leslie will remain here with Symphony. Back in Minnesota, we'll be able to get my medical stuff sorted out, work intensively with my research colleagues, and do a bunch of house-related things. We'll be back late next week, hopefully without my kidney stone, to resume our travels north.
The marina here is actually a very nice one with a swimming pool and a courtesy car for making trips around town, so Anne and Leslie should have plenty to do. One concern is heat: It's been almost 90 in the afternoons here and it got rather hot belowdecks. As you can see in the picture, we've addressed this by rigging shade tarps over the main hatches so that they can be left open for ventilation without letting the sun beam in. Ours are a little ad hoc, but they are quite effective!
