The End
23 March 2014 | Fort Pierce
Howard
We’re suppose to have a couple of nice days before the next cold front so we thought this would be a good time to cross the Gulf Stream to the U.S.A,-- wrong. We left in the company of two other boats and maybe if we had been alone we would have changed our minds, but we didn’t want to appear to be too wimpy. We left around 2 pm in high winds and seas, just getting out the Lucaya entrance was a challenge but the winds are suppose to die down and the seas are suppose to lay down. They did, but it wasn’t until after midnight, in the meanwhile we got beat up pretty bad, taking seas into the cockpit and being tossed around. They say that what won’t kill you will only make you strong; I’m feeling pretty strong about now. We arrived in Fort Pierce around 10 am and anchored in front of the marina. We now have to make arrangements to have the boat taken out of the water and stored until we return to do it all over again.
The End.
