Lake Worth
31 December 2015 | Lake Worth
We left Stuart on Boxing Day to head further South, it turned out to be a miserable day with heavy winds and rain, not at all what we were expecting so we quit early and anchored in Hobe Sound, spent the night there and next day proceeded on to Lake Worth. We anchored in Lake Worth North for a few days even thou there were still high winds and rain, especially when a squall would come through. We managed to get off the boat for one day and made our way to Publix, West Marine and out to lunch, it's to bad there isn't a better dinghy landing around, the one that is there is not very secure, no place to tie onto and the other dinghys there had there motors tipped up with their propellers just ready to cut a hole into our inflatable. We managed to find a bridge close by and secured our dinghy to it, the dinghy was still there when we arrived back so that's a good thing.
New years eve we moved a few miles South on Lake Worth to be closer to the inlet, there's a weather window opening and we want to be ready to go. there's alot of boats anchored here with most of them all waiting to get across to the Bahamas. New years day is supposed to be the day of good weather and we plan on leaving in early morning.
