Last night was the coldest so far this season, in fact some locations were setting new records, it was in the mid 40's when we awoke, later in the day it got up to the mid 60's. It's suppose to warm up later on next week, no rain is forecasted for awhile so we hope to get the bottom painted. We went grocery shopping for some boat provisions, $200.00 spent and we've only just begun. Everything is so expensive in the Bahamas (except for rum, that's really cheap) we try to bring everything with us that we'll need .Except for Nassau we didn't find many places to do any shopping anyway, most towns and settlements were sold out of the good stuff soon after the supply ship arrived so you had to be fast to get anything.
Fred and Cathy (s/v Scotch Mist) arrived here today from Cape Breton Island to begin getting their boat ready for the Bahamas. We met them last year when we were in the Exumas; Fred is also originally from Newfoundland also so we have lots in common. It was good to see them again.
