We're up before daylight to begin our 50 plus mile trip across the Exuma Sound to arrive at Staniel Cay, the wind starts off being light but picks up as the day wears on and we enjoy a brisk sail across the sound. Almost across and getting into shallower waters we hook a mahi-mahi fish, it's the first one this year and although not the biggest we have ever caught it puts up a good fight, getting it into the boat was a chore but after giving it a shot of vodka it quitted down and didn't resist any further, they are great tasting fish and it went good with some wine and other side dishes for supper
