Bimini

We spent Christmas in Lake Worth North-not the Bahamas, the weather is just not co-operating and it’s not good for a Gulf Stream crossing, a lot of other boats were also waiting so we had lots of company. A good weather window is coming soon so after a few days at Lake Worth North we moved a few miles to the Lake Worth South anchorage to wait for it, it’s closer to the inlet making for a easier departure. A good weather window arrived and we’re ready to depart, we’ll be in the Bahamas for new years. At 11 pm we along with three other boats were heading out the inlet, on our way South towards Miami. We want to go to Bimini in the Bahamas so going further South will help when crossing the gulf stream, we followed the coast South until morning and after passing by Fort Lauderdale we turned East to make our way across. It was one of the better crossings we have made to date and just before dark we were safely tied up to a dock at Bimini. The weather is going to turn foul again so we will be spending some time here before moving on again
