May 13, 2013- Back to Mangoes Marina to sit out some weather
The weather was forecasted to be gusty from the North, so we headed back to Mangoes Marina. The anchorages are not well protected from that wind direction and we did not want to stay in Man-of-War. Also, I had gotten water in my ear from snorkeling and could not hear out of it, so I decided to go to the clinic to have it checked out. Well, what a surprise when the doctor looked in my ear he saw what he thought was ear wax. He tried flushing it and eventually pulled out a piece of "something white" that he could not identify. This first thing I said is does it have eyes and is it moving! He laughed. He thinks it could have been part of a cotton ball. Now as of writing this I am still on ear drops, and it is still tender. One more thing to get checked out when I get home to Toronto!
What about those Leafs!! We listened on the radio and had the heartbreak everyone else did. SIGH! On the way back, Dwight leaned over the boat to retie some lines and splash! his last pair of prescription glasses into the water! We could not see them on the bottom as the water very merky and "dirty".
We eventually hired a diver to clean the bottom of the boat and to find his glasses! Success! He found them The best $120 we spent so far!
