Good first leg
04 November 2010 | Cruiseport Marina, Ensenada
Fred Delaney
We left the dock at 0430 and arrived in Ensenada at 1330 a 9 hour trip. The sea was calm with a bit of a swell and we had some offshore wind at Rosarita but it didn't last long. Beautiful morning and day with clear skies and warm temperatures. Checked into Cruiseport and filled out some paperwork and will go to the Port Capitan's office tomorrow morning at 0930.
When we arrived at our slip, guess who was there? Ray Marchetta is working on the electrics on a DuBois 70 so he said he would stop by and check out our charging system. Seemed to quit about half way here so it is lucky that Ray is around.
No wifi at the marina as it is being fixed. Hopefully sometime tonight or tomorrow it will be up. May get a chance to load a pic or two. All is well and Penny is out on her power walk. Chris Doolittle and Ray Marchetta stopped by after working on the DuBois 65 that Chris has taken charge of and had a beer and Ray declared that my charging system was working just fine. They left for what would probably be a 2+ border crossing and we went to El Rey Sol for a very good dinner. Planning on departing in the morning Saturday.
