Mustache Dinner

Sorry that I have been delinquent in updating the blog so here comes a batch of them.
The featured event is the catered dinner where you had to dress up in your finest cowboy garb and wear a mustache. I finally got to wear my cowboy shirt that I bought 2 years ago and my 20+ year old hat. Boy do boots feel weird after wearing sandals all summer! Penny found a cowboy shirt at the thrift store and she had some boots as well. There is a saying in Colorado that you can't wear cowboy boots unless you own at least 2 cows. We didn't let that bother us so we dressed up and headed over to the Italian dinner(you would think it would be something western).
Everyone looked hilarious in there mustaches so check out the photo gallery. Our granddaughter gave penny a mustache ring so she just slid in. I don't have a picture of it but you will have to take my word for it.
The dinner was good and we sat at the very most far away table as it was by the big door that was allowing in cool air. And as luck would have it, they called our table for the first in the chow line. I'm sure it pissed off those that clamored for the table right in front of the food.
After dinner they had a film that was a spagehtti western. I didn't know what the term was untill I started to watch the film. It was "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" with Clint Eastwood. It was filmed entirely in Italy with Italian actors except for Eastwood. His mouth was the only one that matched the sound. I got bored after awhile and hit the sack.
It was a fun rally but time to leave and drive up the road 20 miles to my daughter's house in Crested Butte. More to come.
