New Mode of Transportation

We just purchased a 1996 Dodge Road Trek 190 Versatile with the idea of traveling mainland Mexico next winter. We have not sold Tapatai nor do we intend to but wanted to see some of the interior of Mexico.
So here we are in San Quintin, Baja on our shakedown cruise. Our plan is to spend about 8 days getting down to La Paz and Cabo Pulmo and ending up in our farm cottage in Flora Farms in San Jose de Cabo. We have a 2 week ownership there for the first two weeks of May. So follow our Baja Road Trip in Trekkie.
We crossed the border at Tecate and drove through the wine country of Valle de Guadalupe. Beautiful area to be fully explored later. The on to Ensenada with a taco stop at El Trailerro in El Susuzal. Great tacos. Then on down through the ag area where the workers stopped work last month looking for higher wages from Driscoll and Pino the strawberry and tomatoe Kings down here. Saw some posters with some strikers saying 15% is not enough. I agree with them.
Tonight we will dine at Jardine Baja a favorite place but Penny just said it's closed on Monday. Just our luck. So off to the old mill for a Margarita and a bite. So far so good with the Road Trek.
