We took our first solo sail on Christmas Day! Dolphins joined us the whole way. The tides cooperated and the weather was perfect. Eileen was at the helm a good portion of the time.
Charlie joined in the fun. Winds were 8-10 and flat seas made for perfect dolphin watching.
We only saw one other sailboat and had the water to ourselves most of the day.
This was also the first day we actually used our new Doyle mainsail. View from the window looking up and the new sail.
All good sailing days come to an end at some point. Only nervous time was when the auto pilot alarm sounded as we put away the sail. Other than that it was a perfect Christmas day.
We still had time for a walk on the beach. Merry Christmas!
