Rub his belly for GOOD LUCK!
January was boat projects work month after a quick 10 day drive back to Indiana to take care of business and see family. It was also a time to take tools and supplies back no longer needed, reload with more boat cushions and supplies for the rest of the winter.
It was great seeing family for Eileen and Charlie both. Plus it was good to have a little 'social deprivation' since we would be moving aboard soon. We knew it was dark and gloomy in Indiana but until this trip after spending most of the winter so far in Florida little did we know how ugly it is back there in January.
We headed back on the 19th stopping about 1/2 way overnight at "Relax Inn" during a blinding rain. Let's just leave it at that. Always looking for something different we found this place in Ozella Key, FL. The drive to the restaurant and view there was spectacular. It is a must stop and see kind of location.
The restaurant is at the end of the key and there is this sign, appropriate for us as we look to move aboard TARDIS
We got to Truabs and went right to work, well after a feast with lots of laugh's first.
From sun up to sun down it was work, work work. The Traub's were well into their projects. Joe working on his dodger.
and Barb making curtains. Wish we'd taken a photo of the sewing seat shop! Anyway it was great fun and most interesting. A learning experience!
The third day back it rained hard and blew like stink. Expecting the south winds to blow in a bit of extra water during a full moon tide we watched the lines on the boats. Joe was quite surprised, us too, with 2' of warm water over the top of the dock!
The lines got tight and and it took a step ladder was just to get on TARDIS to adjust!
As always we dined together often. One of our FAV's is Jimmy's Neighborhood Grill in Tarpon. Always fresh seafood. Nothing Charlie will not eat!
BOAT PROJECTS GALORE
