July 4th weekend. Niki and I sailed down to Mattapoisett on Saturday afternoon with 1 reef in.

Very fast reach down across the bay and back around Cormorant Rock.
Next time we should reserve a mooring as all the guest moorings were taken, though the Harbor launch (Ch 68) were very helpful and found us a ball for the night.

We stayed the night. The Tavern is now called the "Inn on Shipyard". Excellent Mexican themed food and a great acoustic guitar player.

The sail back Sunday was the mirror of Saturday. Wind built to about the same. Kept the full main up this time and raced back, sometimes over 8-9 Knots. Was a blast.
