After a moderately successful experiment with 2 x 15W mono-crystalline semi-flexible modules with a really crappy charge controller decided to go the whole hog and buy another 100W panel and try a more sophisticated charge controller.

Naturepower panel (Cells made in USA by what was Bosch I think)


Charge controller is a MPPT Tracer1210RN Solar Charge Controller. Very cheap for the range of features. Hope it works out.

All wired together with easy release fittings from Battery Tender. All delivered by Amazon.

100W panel is on the Bimini. The two 15W are on the cabin roof though they will probably be moved to the Bimini soon.

Whole experiment turned out to be a success. Panels are well made and generate 8 Amps at the peak. The Charge controller does its job and we are able to keep the fridge on, or even charge the Torqueedo when we need to.
