Laundry Day on s/v TIKI
17 August 2008 | Hudson, Fl
90's mostly sunny
As evidenced above, today was laundry day. Instead of taking the dirty clothes to a laundromat like most sane people do, we decided to practice the two bucket and a hangup style. Kristen toiled away adgitating and rinsing while I squeezed and pinned them to my makeshift laundry line. As people would walk by, I'd tell them we were testing out new sail technology. Except for my laundry line bleeding into a shirt or two, the test was a resounding success and I'm pleased to report that we both look and smell clean. Next time, however, we'll go to the laundromat!
The marina was busy today as many people prepared their boats for the arrival of Fay. I did a few chores but will complete preparations tomorrow as I want to know more of what we're getting before going ballistic. I'm beginning to worry more as the talking heads on TV keep preaching doom for the Tampa Bay area. We'll see what happens.
Finally caught a sunset today as I was out fishing in the kayak this evening. Didn't catch any fish but go to the photo album for a nice sunset shot.
