So I woke up yesterday and did what I always do in the morning. I made a pot of coffee and logged on to check the weather. Small craft warnings up and down the coast until Sunday and generally crappy weather. My next step was to book a discount car rental and surprise the wife with a quick trip home. She and I were really missing our dogs and family (in no particular order!!!) and we couldn't leave until Sunday at the earliest, so what the hell. We drove right through Fay's sorry butt and made it home just after midnight.
The boat is as ready as we could make her. We'll depart with the high tide Monday afternoon!
