Slip Rats and Dock Queens

Slip Rats and Dock Queens are somewhat derogatory terms that describe what we are becoming. These are people with boats that never leave their slip or dock. Oh, they spend time and effort making them pretty, but can't seem to cut the docklines and head out. There are quite a few of them at this marina. The condition must be highly contagious as it seems we've contracted the symptoms!
Be that as it may...we are but slaves to the weather. They (they being old and smart sailors) say that the most dangerous piece of gear on a sailboat is a calendar. I'm beginning to feel "they" knew what "they" were talking about! I feel a pressure to hurry up and go. But luckily, I know better than to submit to it. So we wait...and wait...and...well you get the idea.
Had a nice dinner last night courtesy of Kristen. She made a pot of spaghetti with a zucchini tomato sauce. Completing the meal was a nice spinach and mushroom salad with a balsamic vinagrette. It was good! Then we started to watch The Pick of Destiny but couldn't make it through. Funny it may be, but the movie just sucked.
Also wanted to say thanks to all who leave comments here. The first thing we do when we check the blog is look for your comments. There a couple joksters who really crack us up.
