Stopped into MH quickly to do a few boat chores and reprovision the fridge! Boyz filled up the water tanks (stbd=150 gallons and port tank=50 gallons)...stbd tank alone takes 21 minutes to fill! We have a Sea Recovery water maker that makes ~20 gallons per hour but we're taking advantage of the free water that is included in our winter dockage at the JIBROOM...u know my view on water...it costs $5.25 a gallon for diesel but only $0.35 a gallon for water! Something is miss-priced. probably both...but one is too cheap! One day we'll be paying $3+ per gallon for water...but that's another story! Trash is also a big issue on the islands...lots of it and no one wants to take it from u! Here we are in the trash barge delivering it to the dumpster at the JIBROOM (also part of our winter dockage). Most islands don't take trash and Hope Town only allows it Mon/Wed/Fri btwn 8:30am-9:30am...yes..only a one hr window...3x a week! Smart on their part b/c most sailors that have Rum A'Muck don't get up until well past 9:30am!
