Hi, I'm Tim Hasson and I specialize in on-board computing and communications solutions for cruising vessels of all sizes, power and sail.
My own background includes stints in public safety, technical training, computer programming/network administration, and over 15 years as the owner of a local computer service and support business. Occasionally, I even get to go sailing!
I'm spending the latter part of my career helping cruising clients strategize and adopt solutions that are appropriate for their individual needs. I'm a frequent lecturer and regularly contribute articles to marine publications on topics like electronic navigation, communications and weather analysis.
The primary purpose of this blog is to demonstrate how SailBlogs works, especially in conjunction with other services like OCENS Mail and SailMail. Along the way, I plan to occasionally offer my own personal observations on "things that work" in the always-fascinating (to me, anyway) world of marine technology.
