Same as yesterday there is hardly any wind all through the night and early morning. We were only moving about 1.5 knots more or less. We receive weather forecast called, "grib files" over the SSB radio and it looks like two more days of no wind. We are "waiting" patiently for the wind instead of motoring. The cockpit was wet from the heavy dew this morning. The fog was thick and lasted all day so we had to rely on radar and AIS to look out for other vessels. Water droplets from condensation saturated the inside the windows so I lit the kerosene stove since the boat was steady and there was no danger of spillage. It was such a comfort to be dry and warm inside the boat!
This is the first time we have ever just "waited" for wind. We always motor if our speed falls down to two or three knots. Now it is a different story. We will run out of fuel if we continue to motor and we are a long way from our destination, so we have to be patient. A low pressure system is coming and will bring some wind, possibly a lot. We will pray for wind, but not a gale.
