Across Sapelo & St Catherines Sounds to Kilkenny Creek

10 May 2010 | Kilkenny Creek
John
Monday May 10: A very early start to catch the 6:30 am high tide in the Altamaha & Little Mud Rivers. Touched bottom several times, but no hard groundings. The wind picked up to about 25 knots at about 9:00 - cold out of the NNE, & it never let up all day. The Sapelo & St Catherines Sounds were thus very bumpy & wet. Our chosen anchorage was very exposed, so we continued on, & tied up to a very old wooden dock in a very old Georgia marina about a mile & a half off the ICW in Kilkenny Creek. Nothing else at the marina, but they have WiFi, so "hello all".
