Sunday May 16.
An early start out of Church Creek in order to have high tide in Charleston. A pretty run up the Stono River, through Elliott Cut & Wapoo Creek, and finally a turn into the Ashley River that runs up the west side of Charleston.
There is a tremendous race tide in Charleston, so trying to take a slip on an ebb or flood tide can be a disaster to your reputation as a sailor, so I did not try! It was easier to coordinate with high tide.
This afternoon is wash day, both for the boat & laundry (& ourselves after washing the boat).
We're here for a few days, so some sightseeing is in order. Spot to be included.
