Woof - Woof and Howl!! Charleston is quite a town. We arrived on May 16 and have been really enjoying ourselves. To make things even better Capt. Chris arrived on Tuesday and brought a little more fun into the boat. Capt. John and Capt. Dennis just don't have that youthful exuberance anymore like me and Capt. Chris. Anyway, we must have walked all of Charleston because my little paws are sore, but we did see a lot. We went to the aquarium, the city market, twice, the Blind Tiger (3 times), Fort Sumter, the Battery at the tip of Charleston, walk through the College of Charleston and much more. I just loved the little courtyards and alleyways that make this place so unique not leaving out the beautiful homes with their own Charleston style. Oh, and we really enjoyed the food and a little brew. OK, so maybe a little brew is an understatement. Oh yeah Capt. John really likes red wine and so did the boat, had to wash a few items the next morning.
I'm sure one of the highlights for Capt. Chris was reconnecting with Kathryn, an old high school friend. She brought her two kids to the boat and they had a good time exploring. Another exciting event was the arrival of three British Sailboats that were representing the three branches of service, Navy, Army, and Air Force. The Captain and crew are volunteers and must qualify in order to participate. Very cool!! I'm exhausted. I'm going to lick myself for a while and then take a nap.
