Anchored out in Church Creek

16 May 2010 | Wadmalaw River
John
Saturday May 15.
Winding up the rivers of South Carolina - the Coosaw River, the Ashepoo River, Rock Creek, the South Edisto River, up North & Russel Creeks to the North Edisto River, & up the Wadmalaw River to our anchorage in Church Creek.
Took several tries to get the anchors (another Bahamian moor) to hold in the soft black mud, but eventual success. A very peaceful evening until about 11:00pm, when a fishing vessel came barreling up the creek, & I don't think saw (or looked for) our anchor light until I switched on a second light. Close, but a miss. A quiet night after that.
