Leaving for Home - Take 2!!!

Happy Mother's Day! We hope it is a wonderful day for all the "Moms" out there!
You might be wondering, "How is it they are able to get another blog entry out including a picture?" Well, the answer is, we didn't leave yesterday as expected. We tried. We had this wonderful group of well wishers who came down for last hugs and were standing by to throw dock lines for us, but when we went to start the engine, guess what? Yeah, you know us too well! It wouldn't start - even though Glen had just started it an hour earlier to let it warm up. Yikes!!! After a couple of hours changing fuel filters, etc..., Glen found a blockage in a little tube coming out of the fuel filter , but wasn't able to clear it. Next step, find a diesel mechanic that will make a boat call on a weekend. Check the phone book - no listings for any kind of mechanics. Ask other boaters who are down on the dock - no one knows anyone who they would recommend. Thankfully, Myles knows just about everyone on the island and after a few phone calls putting the word out, he gets a name. Andy is called and we are told he can be down in a couple of hours. It gave us more time to visit with our well wishers. Andy came and was able to clear the blockage with a can of WD-40, and half an hour later, all is well. Our nerves, however, were a little on edge, so we made the decision to stay the night and leave this morning.
As I am typing, the engine is purring and Glen is re-disconnecting us from electricity. Guess that means I better hurry up and get this out and put the computer away! Aloha again, and see you in about 3 weeks! :)
