We are finishing up day four (of what we hope is about 21 days) on this crossing and all is going well. The winds have been Goldilockish - not too strong, not too soft, but just right!!!! We have been averaging about 120 miles a day - wish they could be straight towards home, but we have to head north first to get up and around that darn Pac High. We are currently at the 28 latitude mark - San Diego is at 32. The weather has been nice - again not too warm, yet not too cool - just right! The water temp has certainly dropped, though - it has gone from 77 to 67! We're wondering if we'll ever be able to swim in such cold water again - we have been so spoiled! The radio has been cooperating just enough for us to get our position reports out each day and get a few shorts messages in and out - thank goodness (and knock on wood!!!). Will keep this short so I don't jinx it!!!
