Happy Turkey Day!

Sally
Wow! How lucky are we to be out at Catalina in November and wearing shorts?!!! We're feeling pretty spoiled, but mostly just thankful that the weather cooperated with our plans this year. We are hoping that all of you have something special to feel thankful for today, as well!
As we count our many blessings this year, we'd like to share a few special ones... We are so thankful that all three of our loved ones who have been diagnosed with cancer this year have great prognoses. Ralph has had to go through several procedures on his throat, but things are looking good for him. Lorie had to have two lumpectomies and is currently going through daily radiation treatments for breast cancer, but should be good as new when the treatments are done. (And I have to mention that she looked absolutely gorgeous at Ashe and Mitch's wedding !) Most recently, in fact just this past Monday, Dan had to have surgery for prostate cancer. Although he has some major recuperating to do, the surgeon thinks the cancer was all contained within the prostate and that they got it all. Whew! We are so thankful!
As always, we are thankful for all the wonderful friends and family members we have (including the newest little one, Emily!). It has been nice to spend more time with those of you close by this year. For those of you not within visiting distance, please know we send big hugs to you all. We are also thankful we have Penny back full time. We are so thankful that Andy and Arlene took such good care of her and were willing to share joint custody with us while we re-acclimated to life "not at sea," but now it's so nice to wake up to her little, warm, fuzzy body every morning. Glen and I are extremely lucky to have such wonderful lives. We say it every year, but it remains true... and we are thankful
