MAYOR OF FORT PIERCE LINDA HUDSON

28 January 2013 | City Marina, K Dock, Fort Pierce, Florida
Thomas Lee
I got a nice phone call this morning from Mayor Linda Hudson of Fort Pierce. She was calling to thank me for the book I gave her on living on a sailboat at the Fort Pierce City Marina. It was kind of her to call. She asked of I had other ideas of promoting Fort Pierce. I said I would think about it and we would talk later. I asked her to check out my new web site www.fortpiercecitymarinaflorida.com. She said she would.

Last winter I flew down from to Fort Pierce and stayed for a week. The first time I visited the City Marina, and K-Dock in particular, I knew it was the perfect place to live on a sailboat for the winter. I was right! And since I tied up at K-dock on October 15, 2012, I have discovered many more reasons that this is a great place. It's kind of like when I met my wife Margaret for the first time, I just knew that I had met the perfect person. And I was right. It it has just gotten better over time. How good it that!

I also talked today with Ellen Gillette the writer who did a story of me for the St. Lucie Tribune. When she visited me on WINDSONG to interview me, she had grandson with her. She said that the grandson asked her how the Sock Monkey was. The Sock Monkey is happy to know that someone remembered him. He also wants to go to the next Coffee With the Mayor.
