La Cruz Day 2

10 January 2010
Swimming and fishing at the anchorage! Huge schools of yellow tailed fish swimming through and chasing (just chasing) Jim's lures. Interesting sight! The visibility is only a couple of feet but the water is warm and wonderful.

WindRyder finally pulled in!

We went to town and got a few items from the local tiendas. The pastry place is fabulous. Fresh pastries every day! I think that might be one of the things we'll miss the most when we go back.

The ironwork in Mexico is truly amazing! Every town I find another great fence or doorway to take a picture of. Here it's not for security, it's a class thing. Like a Mercedes in the States, here it would be how ornate your ironwork is and how much you have.

We stopped and visited with Don & Judy for awhile before heading back to the boat. A few hours later we headed back into town with Bob (Taisho) and went to Ana Banana. More good music from Rock of Ages. Had a few beers and then had to go meet Don & Judy at Tacos in the Street before heading back to Ana Banana. We danced all night long and closed out the bar!
