Amish neighbors

22 October 2010
Looks like we are going to be on Amish road. We have one neighbor Peter and his wife who built a temporary home a couple of doors up the road. He's helping a farmer and may work out a deal to eventually buy the farm.

Then we heard that two of the farms for sale up the road, a few doors past Peter, were sold to Amish as well. We've seen some activity finally there, hay baling and it looks like a pad is being made for a house. Can't wait to hear the hammers again (no power tools so you know when you have Amish working nearby).

We hear horses and buggies clippity clopping everyday now. It sounds like Christmas every day!

I wish I could post more than one picture. I have cute horse & buggy pictures and then I have wheat & corn stacks to show you......what to choose? Have to choose cute! I'll just post the stacks for a scenery shot.....you'll like that too!
