Well it seems we are definitely cruising again even though we have not gone far! The bruises and bug bites have begun! As well as the monitoring of how much water is being used and drank. It seems very weird too to not be separating out the trash into compost, burnables, metal scrap, deposit recycling and garbage garbage.
Other than that, the northers keep coming every week and have kept us local fearing running to far without a safe harbor. So in Guaymas we sit and have fun. Have lots of books and a good running outboard. All is well.

Here we are in our first destination of the season, the slip at Marina Seca (Gabriel's yard). Here we sat in 5.7 ft of water, ha ha which means we were sitting in over a foot of mud then water. But we pulled out into the bay the next morning at high tide without grounding. Yeah baby!
So we're off..........

Hey all! We made it fine into the country and even remembered to stop at immigration to get the all important visas! No problema!
Hot and sunny here our first day......don't think I can stand it yet LOL Too hot! The boat held up great with a few exceptions, the tag lines did not make it and the repairs were not finished. Oh well. One halyard is better than no halyards. Maybe we can trick someone into going up for us!
So our first day of a few works hours consisted of taking tarps off and opening up and getting all the stuff off the bed so we could sleep. And then we got the boat rinsed off which didn't take too long because it had rained hard here a few days ago AND the water pressure has been improved greatly!
Looks like we are one of the early arrivals. There are some people in the yard now that we know so hopefully we can remember all the names LOL And I've found out that I am referred to as the librarian or the fly girl. Ha Ha And the bookmark girl! So just call me the bookmark making, insect trapping librarian LOL And yes.....an insect trap is already up and being checked every day. Hope to have something to report soon!
Someone said you know we never get to see this yard you are in. We get all these pictures of anchorages and pretty things but no yard. Well here you go! I stopped briefly to put my feet up (nails done and all) and snap the picture for you. You can just see the water in the upper left corner.
Back to work!

Grandpa Jim has been spending a lot of time playing with grandboys Cole & Dylan. We helped with babysitting a few days and then took them to the Science Museum in LA. We had lots of fun with the boys and Danyal. Guess we'll have to go back again!

Yes we're off already! How quick the time goes. But as quick as the summer goes, we'll breeze through winter and be back again in NY before you know it.
Had a nice ride in with sis Annette & Mic but almost wasn't able to board the plane (ooppppsss it's 1-1/2 hours to Albany not 1 hour) but we got on and so did our checked bag. Then a layover in Cleveland where we got to see Lake Erie from the sky (looks just like the ocean). And then another layover in Phoenix at a really messed up airport. We had to go to another terminal and the only way to get there was to go outside the airport and then back in and through security again! Oh come on! How many times you really need to see me naked? But got into Burbank with no problems, luggage intact and nothing broken. Yeah baby!
Just going to be in California to visit with family and friends for a week and then we'll be off again!
