Here it comes....tomato season, late this year but yum yum good. And our hot peppers are doing fantastic in the greenhouse Phil put together. The habanero plants are up past my hips! So far his experiment of how tomatoes do in the greenhouse vs out in the open has proved that they grow like a jungle in the greenhouse (up to the top of it and hitting the roof). Makes it really hard to pick them though LOL Have to work out those bugs next year.

Wow check these bad boys out! Can you believe how big they are? Never seen peaches as big as softballs before. Doesn't look like they were affected by the drought this summer. Cut up they were more than a cup each and I got more than a 1/2 bushel. Lordy peach recipes! Gonna be some yum in the pantry this season.

Well we have obviously fixed whatever was wrong with our soil because our squashes are producing lots of poundage, and in just one zuccini ?????? Got to get my canning on! Pickles/relishes anyone?

Further down the Hudson River in Saugerties we walked out to the lighthouse. This was built in 1869 and completed restored in 1990 and is now open to the public during the day (the grounds) and open on appointed tours or you can stay the night for under $250. You can even pull up to it by boat. How fun would that be?
At least seven more lighthouses to see on the Hudson River........

We had to get some supplies so figured we'd do a little sightseeing along the Hudson River. And lo and behold what we spied from the road! This is docked and plugged in behind a commercial building along the Hudson. How cool is that? Pirates in upstate NY!!!!!
